Luke Atkinson has been promoted from associate director at the Stockport-based commercial property consultancy.
Fairhurst Buckley comprises 20 chartered surveyors, valuers, and commercial property experts, providing services regarding sales and lettings, acquisitions, property management, building surveys, CDM regulations, rent collection, dilapidations, and project management.
As director, Atkinson will be charged with the day-to-day management of the internal finance department as well as supporting the wider management team with financial insights.
He will take on the role of leading the finance and facilities management teams while overseeing the treasury services offering as well as delivering financial services to Fairhurst Buckley’s clients.
Atkinson said: “Joining Fairhurst Estates 16 years ago, I’m thrilled to see the company’s evolution.
“Since our successful merger with Buckley Commercial in 2020, we now provide a comprehensive, 360-degree service to all clients, encompassing commercial property management and FM services, building consultancy, commercial estate agency, and valuation/lease advisory services.”
He continued: “I look forward to ensuring that our investments in the business enable us to continue to provide exceptional service to our clients.”
Atkinson began his career at Fairhurst Estates in 2008 as a purchase ledger clerk.
He left in October 2012 and was asked to return in April 2014 as financial controller, before his promotion to associate director in February 2022.
Nigel Blyth, Fairhurst Buckley managing director, said: “Luke has been a vital part of our growth and development plans.
“He played a key role in the financial aspects of our merger with Buckley Commercial, which was followed by his promotion to associate director.
He added: “I’m delighted to see him advance to director.”
