The event will look at the nature of sustainability, the scale of the problem and the conflict that arises for construction.

It will consider the role of government and individuals and their effect on construction industry processes. It will also consider how the effect of sustainability on the design and construction processes is likely to alter procurement practices and encourage the use of pre-construction agreements.

Guest speaker is chairman of The Joint Contracts Tribunal, Prof Peter Hibberd, who is also a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators

Chair is Prof Peter McDermott, who is associate director of the Centre for Construction Innovation.
