This free, informative seminar held at The Lowry, Salford, will bring together planners, developers, landscape architects, Green Infrastructure professionals, housing associations and local authorities to look at how trees and other GI can contribute to creating resilient, sustainable cities for the future.

A range of speakers including Cllr Alex Ganotis, Green City Lead, Tom Armour, landscape leader, ARUP as well as representatives from UK Green Building Council, Capital and Centric and United Utilities will showcase examples from across the globe as well as Greater Manchester highlighting how GI, both in our cities and on the urban fringe, can play an integral role in helping to address some of our most complex urban environmental problems such as flooding, vulnerability to extreme heat and poor air quality.

The seminar will also highlight the importance of GI in setting the scene for investment, strengthening communities and creating places that people want to live, work and play in.
