As the date draws near for the adoption of CIL, in April 2014, a number of charging authorities in the North West are preparing their charging schedules with a view to adopting CIL in their areas.

The event will be of relevance to all those involved in planning and development in both the public and private sectors.

The event will include:

  • An overview of the CIL regulations and guidance: when is CIL payable, who is liable and what is exempt?
  • Steps to adoption including preparing the charging schedule, public consultation, examination in public and testing of the evidence
  • CIL in practice – delivery of infrastructure section 106 agreements, Affordable Housing
  • Lessons learned and practical points going forward
  • Provide an opportunity for questions and answers

Chairman

Colette McCormack, Planning Partner, Winckworth Sherwood
