The Breakfast Club at WSP: Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards – Managing the risks

Date: 10 October 2017, 8:00

Location: Shoosmiths, 2 Hardman Boulevard, Spinningfields, Manchester M3 3AZ

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) will come into force next year. Any property which has an Energy Performance Certificate with an F or G rating will be classed as sub-standard. Today almost 20% of commercial property falls into this category and, from 1st April 2018, landlords will not be permitted to let it unless they have carried out all cost-effective energy efficiency improvements or one of the exemptions applies.

Come to our WSP Breakfast Club event in Manchester on Tuesday 10 October, which is being held jointly with Shoosmiths, and learn the practical actions you need to take to understand these new requirements and manage these risks. We will have engaging presentations from legal and property experts.

Peter Williams (Shoosmiths) advised Government on the development of the MEES guidance published earlier this year and is providing legal advice to both landlords and tenants.

Simon Clouston (WSP) is advising leading real estate clients on how to manage the risks and ensure that property remains lettable after 1st April next year. We’ll provide a fine breakfast, good networking and a thought-provoking hour to start your day.

Breakfast will be served from 8am, the event will start promptly at 8.30am and finishes by 10am.

Please RSVP to Sandra Robinson to reserve your place.
