"Less carbon, less waste, more jobs"

Do you want to make better use of your resources and grow your business? The Northwest Construction Knowledge Hub is preparing to deliver a FREE programme of six three-hour workshops on carbon footprinting, waste management, lean improvement techniques, and performance measurement for senior representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Northwest's built environment sector. The workshops will comprise formal presentations and action learning, which will enable delegates to identify solutions and action points for their workplace issues.

If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please submit an expression of interest to alex.wharton@ccinw.com by noon on Friday 8th January. Please provide details of your business and your role, explain briefly how your business would benefit from the programme, and state your commitment to participating in all of the workshops.

The workshops will run from 8am to 11am at the Centre for Construction Innovation in Manchester on the following dates:

Wednesday 27th January – Introduction to Resource Efficiency
Wednesday 10th February – Carbon Footprinting
Wednesday 24th February – Waste Management
Wednesday 10th March – Construction Lean Improvement Programme (CLIP)
Wednesday 24th March – CLIP and Key Performance Indicators
Wednesday 14th April – Review and Forward Action Plan

The Northwest Construction Knowledge Hub is a three-year project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), to help small and medium-sized enterprises in the Northwest's built environment sector grow their business and improve their resource efficiency. The project is being delivered by Centre for Construction Innovation in conjunction with Building Research Establishment, University of Central Lancashire, University of Liverpool and Urban Vision.

For funding purposes, small and medium-sized enterprises are defined as having:
Headcount – up to 250
Turnover – no more than 50 million Euros (roughly £45.5 million)
Balance Sheet – no more than 43 million Euros (roughly £39 million)
