Site Waste Management Plans and Business Support Workshop

Envirolink Northwest's Recycling and Waste team has launched a Waste Initiatives Network, designed to share best practice, encourage recycling and support business growth amongst the Northwest waste collectors. Joining the network, and attending the workshops, is free to recycling and waste businesses in the Northwest.

Who will benefit?
All skip hire companies, operators of transfer stations, contractors, sub-contractors and their clients in the industry should register.

The workshop will include a presentation by a leading construction company and cover the requirements expected of a sub-contractor. Business Link and WRAP will provide information on the support available to your business.

The workshop will be chaired by Robin Tweedale, Managing Director of JWS Waste and Recycling Services Limited.

JWS Waste & Recycling Services Limited operates a fully permitted four acre MRF facility (two miles from the centre of Manchester) handling 160,000 Tpa of waste of which 75% is recovered and diverted from landfill.

With over 30 years' experience in the waste management sector at board level with Biffa and UK Waste, Robin Tweedale has been involved in most aspects of this multi-faceted industry and actively supports the development of new sustainable initiatives for the growth and development of this competitive and environmentally challenged sector.

He is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), a member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management, a Non Executive Director of Envirolink Northwest and of Global Renewables Limited.
