The fifth BIM related SCRI forum event focuses on the issues related to successful BIM adoption and implementation to functional integration.
Previously the forums staged events covering clients and BIM, design and BIM, contractors and BIM and facilities managers and BIM and discussed the current pace of BIM adoption and the value achievable.
SPEAKERS:
Chairperson:
Patricia Tzortzopoulos, Programme Director, University of Salford, for the MSc in BIM and Integrated Design.
Yusuf Arayici, SCRI: Will discuss a roadmap to implementing BIM and the three step adoption at company level, considering relevant software selection process.
Heikki Kulusjarvi, Managing Director, Solibri Inc: Will present on BIM guidelines and model checking, involving rule-based Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Rob Owen, Senior Researcher, SCRI: Will present BIM enabling integration collaboration and process improvement.
Tim Bates, Director of EMEA Operations for Newforma: Will present their system enabling the adoption of BIM Integrated Project Information Management that connects people, processes and information for an integrated project deliver.
Peter Taylor, Building Design Partnership (BDP): Will present 'The challenge of BIM Implementation' considering technological, cultural and organisational and legal implications.
Nigel Davies, Evolve Consultancy: Will discuss the BIM roles in the company, stressing the importance to promote the idea of internal capability development, whilst securing value in a changing sector culture.
