Hear from Cheshire Science Corridor, Liverpool Knowledge Quarter, Manchester Science Partnerships, and more, at this special event examining how to grow the North West’s science and tech sector as it takes on the dominance of the South.

In partnership with the Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership, the half-day conference will explore how the region’s own Golden Triangle of Manchester, Liverpool and Cheshire can be positioned to rival London, Cambridge and Oxford on the world stage.

Due to take place at the Museum of Science & Industry on Thursday 22 February, the event will showcase what the region already has to offer, with its science park developments, home-grown businesses, and emerging tech clusters. Discussion will then move on to examine what more can be done to improve the perception and productivity of the region, and how the property sector can ensure the delivery of a strong pipeline of high-quality space.

Speakers include:

Colin Sinclair, chief executive of the Knowledge Quarter

Clive Constable, deputy chief executive of the Royal College of Physicians

Chris Doherty, managing director of Manchester Science Partnerships’ Alderley Park

John Adlen, growth director, Cheshire Science Corridor

Jane Gaston, development director at Peel Environmental

Ned Wakeman, director of BioHub

Dr Annette Bramley, director of N8 Research Partnership

Lee Omar, founder of Red Ninja Studios

John Leake, business development manager for Sci-Tech Daresbury

Kaleigh Haeg, head of life science UK/EMEA, Colliers International

The conference will begin at 8am for networking, and will finish at noon for lunch.

The event is free to attend, but you must book your ticket in advance.
