Urban design for smaller sites: A practical workshop

Join us for a day long, hands-on workshop, designed to help you understand the important role that urban design can play in delivering contextually responsive design for small and medium sized sites. With so much guidance focused on larger strategic sites these smaller sites are often forgotten and under resourced. The session, based on a real-world site, will focus on developing a suite of practical skills for town planners from all sectors ranging from undertaking robust site analysis through to thinking about setting strong design-led design guidance for sites, before concluding with developing different design options. The workshop is suitable for a range of backgrounds and abilities and will be supported by a wide range of professional urban designers throughout. Come prepared to sketch, debate and collaborate.

This event could count as appropriate CPD for RTPI members – remember to keep a record of your learning, including your learning outcomes, in your CPD record
