This event is intended to provide non-planning colleagues with an understanding of the planning system to enable them to appreciate the wider context within which they are working.
The day will include an update on the changes to the planning system over the last year; help to understand the development plan system, the role of development management and the way decisions on individual planning applications are made; the most effective way to make comments on planning applications; and, opportunities to meet colleagues from other organisations, exchange experiences and learn about current best practice and forthcoming changes.
