In conjunction with AUDE and Overbury, RLB are supporting the development of a new SKA Rating scheme for Higher Education. The scheme is intended to meet the need of guiding and benchmarking interiors other than purely offices or retail/restaurant spaces and looks to cover public areas, teaching halls, auditoria, specialist training spaces, and laboratories among others.

Through a series of workshops coordinated by RICS and the SKA Rating Technical Committee, development of the scheme is already underway. As with all schemes of SKA Rating, industry views, needs and practical considerations are of great importance.

To aid this conversation, and to have a say in the development of the scheme's criteria and scope, RLB would like to invite you to participate in a technical workshop specifically organised to capture the views of University representatives in the North.

Prior to the event, a basic knowledge of SKA is recommended as the day will not be about explaining how the tool works but about how the SKA methodology and philosophy can be reflected through the requirements of Higher Education refurbishment/fit-out projects.

The workshop will be chaired by Elina Grigoriou, chairman of the SKA Rating Technical Committee and will cover work to date and provide an opportunity for to input on the developing scope.

There will be a limit on numbers so attendance will be on a first come basis.

To attend, RSVP to Melanie Fox at melanie.fox@uk.rlb.com
