Event Overview
This full day workshop will give the delegates all the tools necessary to confidently speak in public and deliver a positive presentation. This workshop provides 5 hours of RICS CPD.
One of the most difficult things we are ever asked to do is to speak in front of an audience and many of us will make every excuse to avoid such a situation. Despite this and whether you are a student, employed, self employed, looking for a job or a member of a club/organisation, there will be circumstances when it will be necessary for you to actually speak or give a presentation to an audience.
After the initial fear you may feel that you are well prepared, but it is quite easy to suffer from 'stage fright' on the day, become tongue tied, nervous, unconvincing and as a consequence give a weak presentation.
To address both of the above, this workshop has been specifically designed to cover all the fundamental principles to enable you to not only learn to be a good presenter, but also to excel ourself as a confident speaker. The intensive workshop will cover:
- Facing the Fear
- Types of Presentation
- Preparation
- The Content
- The Delivery
- The Q & A Session
- Presenting without notes
- Delegate Presentation (in action)
- Being motivated, confident and persuasive
For those who have never given a presentation previously or for those who give presentations occasionally or regularly who want to improve their technique. This workshop is very interactive and great fun allowing delegates to practice the skills learned in a controlled environment. The workshop is limited to 14 delegates to allow time for coaching.
Delegates will be asked to prepare a brief presentation before the Workshop, details of which will be sent to each delegate about two weeks before the course.
