Liverpool One is a retail, residential and leisure destination in Liverpool. The development, previously known as Paradise Street Project, involved the redevelopment of 42 acres of under-utilised land in Liverpool city centre. Retail-led, Liverpool One is anchored by department stores Debenhams and John Lewis, with additional elements including extensive leisure facilities, a 14-screen Odeon cinema, apartments, offices and public open spaces.
Liverpool One is the largest open air shopping destination in the UK. This seminar will review the under-performance of Liverpool city centre as a retail destination prior to the completion of the £1bn regeneration project, and explain hoe the completion of Liverpool One has significantly boosted the local economy as well as lifted Liverpool into the top five most popular retail destinations in the UK.
This seminar forms part of the RICS matrics & Local Association Spring CPD Series. These seminars provide a general overview of the subject matter and are open for all property and construction related professionals who may have an interest in the subject matter.
