The North West’s property experts are being challenged to test their brainpower at a charity quiz in Manchester next month. The event will be held at the Lowry Hotel in the city on 4 October and proceeds will go to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ charity Lionheart. The organisers are aiming for a sell-out attendance of 250 people and hope the quiz, with teams from different companies competing, will become an annual event and will grow to be the region’s top property quiz. One of the organisers, David Porter, Partner at Knight Frank’s office in Manchester, said: “We are looking for support from across the region for what is a very worthy cause. “It is also a chance for everyone to get together and have a really fun night, see who are the North West’s quiz champions and raise some serious cash for Lionheart. “Similar events are already held in Yorkshire and London and they attract a lot of interest and raise much needed cash for the charity. “We’d like our night to become as popular and become a regular date in the North West property sector’s social diary.” The charity provides valuable help and support for members of the RICS and their families who find themselves in difficulty. The quiz will consist of eight, quick-fire rounds, with a head-to-head final and the night also includes a three-course meal and the chance to bid for a selection of rugby memorabilia. The Royal Bank of Scotland is sponsoring the evening, which is being supported by Knight Frank, DLA, Bruntwood, Town Centre Securities, CTP, Ian Simpson Architects and EC Harris. Last remaining tickets are available for the night. For more information log on to www.lionheart.org.uk or contact David Porter at david.porter@knightfrank.com
