Senior figures from Network Rail, Department for Transport, Peel Ports, Manchester Airports Group, Virgin Trains, Manchester City Council, Liverpool City Council and Cheshire East Council are among those confirmed to speak at a day-long conference hosted by Transport for the North and Place North West.

The speaker line-up includes Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at Department for Transport, Jesse Norman MP; John Cridland, chair of Transport for the North; Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham; leader of Manchester City Council, Sir Richard Leese; and chief executive of Transport for the North, David Brown.

Northern Transport Summit: Rail, Road, Air + Ports, sponsored by Remarkable Group, Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, TEM Planning and Broadway Malyan, will take place on Monday 26 June at The Midland in Manchester city centre.

The summit will feature presentations and in-depth discussions exploring major transport and infrastructure projects at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse agenda.
