New Islington Festival

Date: 1 September 2007, 3:54 - 3:54

Location: New Islington, Manchester

We're having an urban folk festival for urban folk! Building on what we started last year, the New Islington Festival is back for more and yes, we have ordered the sunshine! From 2pm to 8pm on Saturday 1 September the new park, Cotton Field, and Old Mill Street at New Islington will host among others, NU Rave Sheep, Drum and Barge, the mixtape Morris Dancers and Canal Graffiti Artists!

This festival features 70 acts across 11 performance areas and not only that, there's tons of stuff for all the family to do, including clay modelling and marbling workshops; a literature and film tent… you'll even be able to hire pedalos and potter around the new canals.

The festival is free, yup, FREE. For more information visit www.urban-folk.com
