Delivering more homes and jobs is the key aim for the affordable housing industry in the North West. The two cannot be achieved apart. National Housing Federation North West annual conference : ‘Home Truths’ 09 November 2007 Location: Digital World Salford This year’s National Housing Federation North West annual conference is designed to be an opportunity for associations, local authorities, and other partners together with North West Development Agency to: – discuss how we can collaborate to lay the foundations for the new regional arrangements in the short term and – map out how we might deliver the challenging demands of the Government’s housing and economic reforms The North West’s regional stakeholders, including Housing Corporation, English Partnerships, North West Development Agency, and Regional Housing Board will set out how we should approach the challenges of: – the Housing Green Paper – the sub-national economic review and changes for Regional Development Agencies – the Cave Review – the New Homes Agency With over 720,000 homes housing 1.4 million tenants and an overall investment of £12 billion in the North, housing associations will be a key player in this rapidly evolving agenda.
