Murmurations: the #makechester talks are back.
The second year is being hosted by Storyhouse and will be the very first not for profit, community run event at Chester’s brand new cultural centre.
On Friday 23 June 2017, we welcome another excellent, diverse and thought provoking line-up of speakers such as: Sheila Dillon from the BBC Radio 4 Food Programme, Charlie Gladstone of The Good Life Experience Festival, Julian Dobson from Urban Pollinators, Sarah Taylor from Spice Time Credits, and Andy Middleton from the TYF Adventure Group and the Do Lectures, plus more.
The one-day event has been organised by a group of Cestrian friends including architect and Chester Growth Partnership board member Andy Foster; photographer Sam Ryley, University of Chester Head of Sustainability Alice Elliott and Nine Meals from Anarchy co-founder Tom Whitley.
The speakers will share their stories, experience and expertise on creating meaningful change in communities, place-making, the economics of enough, food cultures, learning through nature and bringing entrepreneurial ideas to life. We hope attendees will be inspired to connect via opportunities to discuss the event over lunch, refreshments and a drink at the end of the day.
As well as that, our friends at Storyhouse will be providing a suprise insight into their mission to open their house to the community because #thishouseisyourhouse.
So, join us on Friday 23rd June from 8.30am and stay all day to soak up the ideas for business and culture in Chester.
