The team will provide an update on some of the key landlord and tenant issues that have been before the courts during the previous six months, including compensation on a contested lease renewal, assignments in equity and the working of an arbitration clause in a lease.

Back to the future – Bill Chandler

It is 2015. Marty McFly's ambitious plans to rejuvenate Hill Valley by building a hover board factory and associated retail outlet are threatened by the discovery of a covenant from 1985 that restricts the development and use of the only viable site. This fictional case study will consider the use of restrictive covenants, their strengths and limitations and how to overcome them. Doc Brown then transports Marty back to 1985 to see what could have been done differently…
