This autumn we bring you a great line-up of presentations on topical issues within the property, planning and property litigation arenas. We would be delighted if you could join us at one of our complimentary seminars.

Planning for Developers – John Roberts

In recent months, the government has introduced a number of measures aimed at assisting developers and promoting growth. John Roberts from our planning team looks at reforms to bringing Judicial Review challenges of planning decisions and changes to the permitted development regime.

The Abolition of Distress – Property Litigation team

The ancient common law right of a landlord to be able to distrain for arrears if rent is due is to be abolished in April 2014. It will be replaced by CRAR (Commercial Rent Arrears Recovery). The property litigation team will look at some of the key changes and discuss what landlords should be doing to ensure a full recovery of rent.

Strawberry Fields Forever – Bill Chandler

When John Paul agrees a deal with George Ringo on his Strawberry Fields development, they embark on a magical mystery tour through this year's significant changes to Stamp Duty Land Tax and Value Added Tax, encountering Sergeant Pepper along the way.
