Following the success of last year’s inaugural Construction Summit, this year’s event organised by Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, is set to be even bigger. With over 500 delegates expected, it is the largest event of its kind outside of London.

The event offers a unique opportunity for the construction industry to make Government aware of the challenges the sector faces, and the significant impact it has on the regional and national economy. With construction output worth £30bn in the North West alone up to 2018, the Summit will address the key issues of growth, procurement, innovation, skills and training. Delegates will be able to vote live on various issues during the Summit to fully inform the debates.

Peter Hansford, Government Chief Construction Adviser, has been confirmed as one of the Summit’s guest speakers, with further announcements to be made shortly on the full line-up.

Coolair, Trowers & Hamlins, CITB and Tender Management have been confirmed as sponsors of the event. Summit partners include: NWCH, ICE, RIBA, ACE, University of Salford, Manchester University, Forum for the Built Environment, North West ICG, RICS, Manchester Growth Company, NW Client Group, NFB, CITB, ICES (Chartered Institute of Surveyors) and Constructing Excellence – Manchester Club.

Final sponsorship packages are available, but are limited. Anyone purchasing 10 tickets can have a free exhibition space worth £500. Email Katherine.eaton@gmchamber.co.uk for more information.
