Location: The Freemasons Hall

7.30am-9.30am

Guest speaker: Duncan Law, sponsor for the Northern Hub

The Manchester branch of the fbe would like to invite you to a breakfast briefing on 13 April at the Freemason's Hall, Manchester.

With the country still facing a very tough economic environment, and unprecedented spending cuts still biting in many of the various sectors we serve, FBE said good transport infrastructure will be vital to securing the economic recovery. The Northern Hub would allow for faster, more frequent services right the way across the North, with 700 more trains every day bringing more than £4bn of wider economic benefits to the region. It could see six trains every hour between Manchester and Leeds, quicker journeys to Leeds and Liverpool and trains linking Victoria and Piccadilly stations.

As there is much debate as to the final plans, and importantly how the fbe members can best position themselves for this new challenge, the event aims to be an interesting start to a Wednesday morning.
