FBE networking breakfast: Looking at building information modelling

Date: 12 July 2011, 7:30 - 12:00

Location: The Freemasons Hall

Email: phil.laycock@laycockwilliams.com

7.30am-9.30am

Building information modelling, known as BIM for short, is the model that can be used and manipulated by each part of the supply chain, creating greater cost certainty and collaboration in the supply chain and having a massive effect on low carbon construction.

The breakfast event looks at what is BIM, its effect on the industry and what will Paul Morrell and the government task force have to say about the matter?

The event follows a few days after the task force has presented it's findings so it is going to be very timely and will provide an insight into the changes that will affect government procurement significantly over the next five years.

Guest Speakers: John Lorimer, from Manchester City Council, and Rob Charlton, from Space Architects

Price: Free for members, £25 for non-members.
