FBE Manchester: A Focus on Health

The health sector event will probe into how design and technology are influencing and improving the general health of the nation.

We will first investigate how design and engagement with Health England is providing new way delivering buildings that benefits the patients, staff and visitors to hospital sites.

The new Proton Beam Therapy Centre at The Christie Hospital will ensure Manchester’s place on the world stage in delivering this cutting-edge treatment. The speakers from both the client and delivery side will descried their journey from conception to delivery of this highly complex build. They will also provide an insight of what impact the facility will have on anyone requiring the treatment.

• Conor Ellis – health sector lead UK at Rider Levett Bucknall
• Colin Dowell – contracts manager at Interserve Construction for Proton Beam Therapy Centre for the Christie
• Jason Dawson – proton beam therapy director of capital and installation; director of capital, estates and facilities, the Christie NHS Foundation Trust
