The largest regeneration project in the UK, Wirral Waters forms part of the Government backed Mersey Waters Enterprise Zone. A mixed use, sustainable ‘city extension’, the project is focused on transforming the semi-derelict Birkenhead dock system on the western banks of the River Mersey.
Wirral Waters was granted planning approval in May 2012 for over nearly 120 hectares with a total development value of circa £4.5bn.
Delivery has now started and a pipeline of projects is emerging.
Guest Speaker: Richard Mawdsley, Peel’s Director of Development, responsible for Wirral Waters
Richard will provide an update on the progress of Wirral Waters, details of the initial projects completed and will explain the pipeline of projects anticipated in the immediate short term.
