Join us to hear Steve Rotheram and Paul Monaghan talk about what they are doing to improve the quality of design in the city region.

Guest Speaker – Steve Rotheram

In May 2017, Steve was elected as Metro Mayor with 59% of the vote and has overseen almost a billion pounds of investment, as well as delivering half-price bus travel for apprentices and implementing the pioneering Households into Work programme.

In November 2018 Steve announced the appointment of Stirling Prize-winning architect Paul Monaghan as the city region’s first design champion.

The role was created to raise the importance of design quality throughout the city region

Guest Speaker – Paul Monaghan

Paul is a founding director of RIBA Stirling Prize winning architecture practice Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.

He is the Liverpool City Region Design Champion, a member of the CABE National Design Review Panel, an RIBA Client Design Advisor, and visiting professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture and the University of Sheffield, from which he received a Doctorate of Letters in 2018.
