Event Details:

Unconventional Materiality: Concrete will consider the sustainable future of concrete in the built environment, its structural and architectural qualities, and global applications.

Concrete’s inherent resilience has enabled it to play a vital role in buildings and infrastructure, but how will developments in concrete technology look to secure it’s place as a dominant material in a low-carbon word?

The event will feature four keynote presentations including those from two of Manchester’s leading architects talking about their projects, followed by a panel discussion chaired by Laura Batty, Technical Research and Sustainability Lead at HTS, and an opportunity for the fbe audience to engage with our experts.

In partnership with HTS, we will challenge the widely accepted premise that the future of concrete is unsustainable.
