Where do your construction products come from, how are they produced, what are the working conditions in manufacture, and what impact do they have on the environment?

Construction materials should be sourced responsibly and designers have a real and significant opportunity to influence and reduce ethical risks through their specification writing and influence on procurement strategies for clients and contractors.

This seminar will explore these issues and introduce a new Guide to Ethical Sourcing to assist you in ascertaining what ‘good’ looks like and to help the project team agree on outcomes.

Speaker: Professor Jacqui Glass who leads Loughborough University’s Action Programme for Responsible Sourcing (APRES) and is lead author of the new Guide

Fee: £10 / free to Members of Constructing Excellence
