The adoption of off-site construction is growing and beginning to show benefits in terms of delivery and performance. This seminar, presented by Mark Beirne of ESS Modular and Gwen Beeken of Osco Homes, will consider the current market position, the issues facing those considering off-site and look at the scope for accelerated process and quality improvements as we embrace digital manufacturing to unlock the undoubted benefits.

Mark is head of partnerships and integration at ESS Modular. With over 30 years’ experience in construction, typically working with and promoting SME’s covering areas including procurement, operations, and business change. He has been a member of Constructing Excellence for 10 years, and Collaborative Working Champion, with a particularly keen interest in MMC.

ESS is an experienced volumetric modular manufacturer & principle contactor of 30 years, delivering projects throughout the UK & Ireland in sectors including, education, health & housing, offering vastly reduced programme times, cost certainty and precision-built factory buildings, quality guaranteed through a high level of QMS & industry accreditation.

Gwen is Managing Director at Procure Plus & Osco Homes and has a background in naval architecture and building construction. She joined Procure Plus in 2008, facilitating Decent Homes projects and looking for new ways to deliver efficiency. New homes was an obvious necessity and, after much consideration, Osco Homes was formed. Osco Homes is a panelised offsite builder, delivering turnkey contracts, both for Registered Providers and soon for itself as developer. With a desire to lead with quality and design, bringing lean and efficient processes throughout the process, while also building a new workforce, equipping them to deal with the challenges of offsite.
