Property Auctioneers Edward Mellor have released their latest catalogue of 79 lots to be offered at their next auction on Thursday 7th June.
Amongst the usual mix of residential investments, commercial properties and development land for sale, this next auction will also feature an historic Public House in Whitworth with a guide price of just £60,000 and a Public House in Manchester guided at only £15,000 to £25,000.
Auctioneer Nick Green is very enthusiastic about the company's recent auction sales results and the eclectic mix of lots being offered, "Since we moved into The Point at Lancashire Cricket Club we have witnessed a significant increase in the number of people attending and buying at out auction, I think partly because we have such a diverse range of stock available for sale. This next auction will have me selling traditional investment properties as well as Public Houses, a 21 bedroom hotel in Manchester, a portfolio of flats and several perfect family homes."
With stock market returns and saver interest rates still being impacted by the Global Financial Meltdown, property has become a very popular investment and auctions has long been the traditional trading ground, but as Nick Green explained, auction is becoming more mainstream,
"There are a few more people running property auctions but in the main they are dealing with repossessions and distressed stock. The fact that we have been doing this longer than anybody else, together with our background in Estate Agency, is now benefitting all sorts of more mainstream clients, buyers who want homes to live in and vendors who are stuck in chains and want to sell their home."
