Continuing Professional Development in Digital Design

• As architecture has reached a unique moment in which a new generation of architectural problematics and methods is emerging there exists today an important need for a major effort to reframe our practices of professional education and research. • In collaboration with the RIBA, the professional community, and with representatives of leading software companies, the CPD in Digital Design and Culture will offer courses related to this new professional agenda and its design implications. These courses are devoted to expanding the awareness of the architectural community of this new field and will be given at times convenient for these professionals. • The CPD in Digital Design will develop initiatives in digital culture involving courses given by guest speakers and short symposia. It is intended that the University academic community will work in consort with the professional community in order to make Manchester a centre of digital excellence in architectural practice.
