Cheshire, Warrington & Wirral Construction Best Practice Club Event The Considerate Constructors Scheme is the national initiative, set up by the construction industry, to improve its image. Around half of all sites which register with the Scheme do so because their client requires it. This seminar will explore the relevance and numerous benefits to a construction industry client of stipulating registration with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. It will also outline the Scheme’s Client Partnership initiative: who are the Scheme’s Client Partners; what does Client Partnership involve and what are the advantages? Speakers: David Watson, Scheme Director, Considerate Constructors David joined the Considerate Constructors Scheme as a Monitor in 2005 and has been a Scheme Director since January 2008. After graduating, David worked in the contracting side of the construction industry for over 30 years, starting out as a Site Engineer before moving into Site and Project Management. More recently, he has worked in the development of quality management systems for a major contractor, and now runs his own training, assessment and facilitation company. Eunan Higgins, Business Development Director, Birse Civils Eunan Higgins is Business Development Director for Birse Civils in the North West. He represents Birse Civils as an Associate of the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Birse Civils are one of the most successful Considerate Construction Companies in the north west and have won many awards under the scheme including the Most Considerate Site 2008 for their work in East Manchester. They promote and support the involvement of their customers in achieving the highest standards against the CCS Code of Practice.
