This one-day awareness course introduces participants to Community Cohesion and the various strategies used to achieve cohesive communities. Learners will be able to identify the key areas and the groups they can be involved with in order to deliver cohesion. Aims of the session: To give learners an insight into the main issues around community cohesion and how their work ties in to it. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the session the learner will be able to Define Community Cohesion Identify at least six of the different groups that make up their own community Explain at least two problems that can occur between different groups and their causes Identify at least three factors that can contribute to community disorder Explain at least three important issues that need to be addressed in order to create a cohesive community Cost: £60.00 + VAT For further information on this course, please contact: Stockport Training and Resource Centre on 0161 218 1480 or email christopher.hughes@stockport.gov.uk
