We decided COVID-19 wasn’t going to get in the way this year.

Join us on 13 May for a virtual ride or share your solitary ride on that day. All for a great NHS cause!

There’s two ways to get involved this year, a solitary outdoor ride of your local area or a virtual event on Zwift, details of both are below. As always, one of the main reasons for hosting this event is to raise vital funds for charity, the choice was a no-brainer and we’re raising money for the very relevant NHS Charities Together. We ask if you could please make a contribution on our page in order to take part. Here’s the link – Clancy Virtual Sportive Fundraising Page. Please share with family, friends and colleagues! It would be great if cyclists could offer a real show of support.
Getting Involved:

Option A – Outdoor
Get out for a ride any time on 13 May and drop a pledge on our JustGiving site. Take photos and/or videos during your ride and send them to us with a note of where and how many miles to katy.bramwell@clancy.co.uk.
We will collate all the information and put it out on social media. Involve the family if you wish. We’ll also have a draw with a few prizes – fancy dress? Youngest riders? Unusual bikes?

Option B – Zwift
We’re also running the event this year as a virtual ride on Zwift, meeting from 4.30pm for a 4.45pm start and running for about 1 hour, also on 13th May. For those who are interested, you would need access to a smart trainer and to have an account on Zwift, which is the platform we shall be using.  If you would like to join Team Clancy and take part, then please register your interest by email to katy.bramwell@clancy.co.uk, we will then send out further information including instructions to register, and any additional information you might need for the day. We’ll do the same as per Option A in terms of social media & prizes so we’ll need photos.

We can host 50 riders in the virtual event. Should a second ride be required to satisfy numbers, we will schedule one.

For the avoidance of doubt, this will not be a race (particularly directed at Phil Marsden, Muse!). It is a social gathering of solidarity towards the NHS. Social distancing will be observed in both events. We do of course request all “real” riders observe current Government guidance.

We will be hosting refreshments at the Clancy Inn via Teams after both rides. Strictly BYO (Bring Your Own)
