To usher in 2015 CityCo is delighted to offer members and guests a comprehensive sector update for the Professional Services.

The impact of the Professional Services industries on the Manchester economy is growing and is increasingly recognised by the public and private sectors as a key economic driver for the future. Our diverse panel of speakers will provide valuable analysis of the impact and growing influence of the professional services on the local economy.

Join us as we consider what trends are forecast for the next 5-10 years and discuss what the sector needs to flourish in Manchester. This is also a great opportunity to meet with colleagues and take a look inside KPMG Manchester's impressive new offices at One St Peter's Square.

Speakers

The conversation will be chaired by Jonathan Holt, KPMG Office Senior Partner in Manchester and Head of the firm's Financial Services practice in the North. Jonathan has 20 years experience of providing audit and advisory services to insurance and retail banking clients and has overseen the recent move to the landmark building One St Peter's Square.

Tim Entwistle, Assurance and Advisory Partner BDO. Tim is an assurance and advisory partner with considerable commercial experience in both the private and public sectors. He acts for a variety of clients across a range of industries, including the real estate, manufacturing, retail and professional services sectors. He also spent five years in our London corporate finance department. BDO is a national, leading accountancy and business advisory firm focused on providing services to ambitious businesses within the UK and worldwide.

Ian Balderson, Branch Manager and City Centre Hub Leader for Manchester, Barclays Ian joins us from one of the "big five" banks with more than 300 years of history and expertise in banking. Ian has been with the company since he was 16 years old and has developed his career over 25 years. Ian is passionate about innovation in banking through digital technology and supporting the community.

John Ogden, Managing Director North West, CBRE. CBRE is the world's largest commercial property services and investment firm who advise property owners, investors and occupiers on every aspect of their property strategies and assist them in the development, buying, selling, financing, leasing, valuing and management of their assets. John provides strategic property advice and is a specialist in the acquisition and disposal of commercial office property. John also provides consultancy advice relating to new build office and mixed use developments and also refurbishment schemes throughout the North West.
