Is Manchester a family friendly city?

In the decade 2001 to 2011, city centre residents in Manchester increased by 20,000. An impressive growth of 83%* but one led overwhelmingly by young professionals and students. Manchester city centre has undergone a transformation, both in terms of its economy and its attractiveness as a place to live, but are we doing enough to attract and support families of all ages living in and visiting the city?

Join CityCo and a diverse panel of experts from across the UK, who will examine what it means to create a family friendly city in the 21st Century. We will discuss how priorities are shifting in urban planning, age-friendly practice and cultural outreach to create positive change for families who want to work, live and play in our cities.
