Chester Zoo is delighted to host an event within the International Festival for Business, in association with Marketing Cheshire and Cheshire West & Chester Council.
We'd love you to join us for drinks and canapés from 5pm on 26 June. At 6pm we'll give a presentation about our new Islands development, which will have a significantly positive impact on the region's economy. The £30m extension to Chester Zoo will open in May 2015.
As a conservation charity, our mission at Chester Zoo is to be a major force in conserving biodiversity worldwide. It is something we are so passionate about that we invest more than one million pounds each year in field conservation programmes on a global scale, from protecting rhinos in Kenya from poaching threats, to educating communities in India to reduce human-elephant conflict.
As the UK's most visited wildlife attraction, welcoming over 1.4 million visitors per year, we have an incredibly valuable opportunity to bring these projects to life to people, many of whom are far removed from the day to day battles we fight to protect endangered species around the world.
From May 2015, each of those visitors will be able to make their own personal conservation journey around the islands of South East Asia, as we open Islands at Chester Zoo, one of the most amazing zoo developments the UK has ever seen.
