The outcome of the referendum on EU membership is likely to have a number of implications for the construction Industry. This briefing and debate will begin to set out what we know about the potential impact on us and where there may be opportunities to improve our trade prospects to our overall benefit.

Constructing Excellence Manchester has been collaborating with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to better understand the issues and potential opportunities surrounding this decision, including impacts on the workforce or financing. What is our current position in Europe and in the world? What export opportunities might be presented? Does Brexit give us an opportunity to change the way we procure construction?

Presentations by Christian Spence, head of research and policy at GMCC, and David Vayro, partner at Trowers and Hamlins, will explore the potential implications for workload and the benefits we might derive through alternative contractual arrangements.

Fee: £10 / free to members of Constructing Excellence Manchester and GMCC
