Come to Bold Street on October 4th to shop, eat and drink amongst the True Independents of Liverpool. Help us celebrate Liverpool’s most unique shopping district packed with fashion, lifestyle and specialist stores, cool cafes and bars, and cutting edge cultural institutions. On Saturday 4th October we have a range of great activities taking place from Brazilian Samba dancing and live music throughout the street, to lots of free food and wine tastings, live DJ’s, goody bags, competitions and raffles to win free prizes, discounts in a wide range of stores and a big charity fundraising event in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. For kids there are loads of fun acts such as Laurel and Hardy, magicians, face-painting, storytelling and a Design-a-Rubber Duck competition. With all this on offer it might take a while to shop, eat and drink your way up the street but don’t leave without checking out the Yoko Ono” Ladders” installation in St Luke’s (the bombed out church) or the “Atelier Bow Wow” rockscape on the corner of Renshaw Street/Hardman Street which are key parts of Liverpool Biennial 08. SAVE THE DAY! For more information about this press release please contact Kate Cowie (0151 707 9919) or Dick Mawdsley (0151 708 4192) of Utility – kate@utilitydesign.co.uk or dick@utilitydesign.co.uk
