Are we there yet? Planning and sustainable transport Thursday 20 June 2013 (9.30am-4.00pm)

This event will look at the transport implications of the NPPF and show how far we have come since Traffic in Town report 50 years ago. It will consider the latest thinking on the increasing importance of Travel Plans and in highways design set out in Manual for Streets 2, including appeal examples of where its principles have been tested through inquiries, and other relevant case law. TfGM will introduce their guidance for developers, and updates will be given on cycling and rail.
