About the speaker

Nigel Barr has over 35 years' experience in the construction industry gained in professional practice and in contracting. He is a qualified Quantity Surveyor and Arbitrator with over 20 years' experience as a consultant, trainer and facilitator.

His specialist areas are construction contracts (effective administration and collaborative problem resolution) and implementing open book accounting systems that actually deliver the results they promise. He is a highly experienced strategist and problem solver.

He also has a keen interest in improving construction management processes and effective procurement strategies.

Nigel provides advice and practical support/guidance to many public and private sector organisations. He has an extensive knowledge of JCT 2011, NEC3, PSPC and PPC2000/ TPC2005, together with a thorough understanding of collaborative working, procurement and performance improvement.
