Euro Garages sets up shop at Earlsfield Park

The Blackburn-based company is constructing a convenience store and petrol station on a 1.9-acre site, part of the wider 50-acre Knowsley mixed-use scheme from Ion Developments and Bellway Homes.

Euro Garages purchased the land from Ion (Earlsfield Park) Limited, part of Ion, for an undisclosed sum. Mowbray Gill acted as Ion’s agent on the deal.

Earlsfield Park is on Knowsley Lane in North Huyton. It is divided into two sections: a residential development with 154 homes on 13 acres and the 30-acre employment park – a mix of retail, office buildings and manufacturing and research facilities. Bellway handled the housing portion. The employment park is the domain of Ion, which used to be known as Neptune Developments.

When the entire £62m project is complete, the developers believe Earlsfield Park will create 650 new jobs and contribute £18.7m to the economy.

Under the latest deal, Euro Garages is to be the first occupier of the employment park at Earlsfield Park. Neil Findlay, acquisitions director for Euro Garages, noted that the new site marks a “strategic milestone in our company expansion”.

“Earlsfield Park’s surrounding land uses are synonymous with properties we target,” he said. “The roadside profile will help us to deliver high-quality customer facilities to enable brand partnership growth within our group”.
