Enabl adds director to support growth

Cameron Higgs has joined the Altrincham-based planning consultancy from Bruntwood.

Higgs has become Enabl’s third director, alongside Matt Dixon and Louis Howard, who co-founded the business four years ago.

Higgs joined Bruntwood as a QS in 2017 and rose through the ranks to become head of quantity surveying at the developer last October.

His appointment sees Enabl’s head count grow to 12.

“I am really looking forward to reinforcing the success of Enabl and bolstering the established team to develop our service offering,” Higgs said.

“Having known Louis from our university days and Matt more recently, our approach is very much aligned and I am looking forward to seeing how Enabl can help existing and new clients make exciting projects happen.”

Enabl’s projects include St Ann’s Hospice in Cheadle with Gener8 Developments, and CERT Property’s 100-home residential scheme in New Cross.

The business, which works across the residential, leisure, healthcare, and industrial sectors, aims to provide advice that supports developers’ ambitions to get on site and deliver, according to Howard.

He said: “Our approach is to carry out early-stage cost modelling and site evaluation, linked into a broader overarching strategy around planning to help developers get projects off the ground in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

“Cameron’s experience at a large regional developer will help us improve this offering even further.”

Dixon added: “We are delighted to be strengthening the offer at Enabl at a time when the new government is pushing ahead with positive change within the planning and built development sector.

“Clarity in policy direction, investment within local authorities and interest rate cuts alongside consistency of leadership should provide developers with a more secure and long-term confidence to deliver.”
