Ellis Williams acquires Studio Three
Ellis Williams Architects is due to open a Liverpool practice in July, following the acquisition of Studio Three Architects, led by former EWA architect Mushtaq Saleri.
Saleri was the founding director of Studio Three in 2003, which employs four people at its office in the Vanilla factory in the Ropewalks area of Liverpool city centre.
Studio Three schemes include the Chavasse Park Pavilion and Rossall Point Tower. Saleri also teaches within the BA and MArch courses at the University of Liverpool.
Saleri said: “I’m thrilled to be re-joining the talented team at EWA. Whilst Studio Three has been a great adventure this new chapter will see that work continue with an increased ability and capacity to build on the networks I’ve established here in Liverpool and beyond. The Studio Three portfolio complements that of EWA and we share a core ethos of responsive, intelligent, user-led design.”
Earlier this month EWA announced that it had welcomed back Tony Skipper to the practice as a director in order to establish a Manchester studio. Skipper left EWA 15 years ago to set up the Manchester office of John McAslan + Partners, which closed last month as part of a nationwide consolidation.
EWA works in the education, commercial, sport, leisure, mixed-use and arts sectors with offices in Warrington, London and Berlin.
