Edwards & Co recruits Hamer to head investment team

Stephen Hamer has joined Manchester-based independent property consultants Edwards & Co as a partner to develop the investment department.

In addition, Hamer will also continue to service his existing client contacts and advise on Edwards & Co's regional and national client base on acquisitions and disposals.

He has worked in Manchester's investment sector for 12 years, having spent the past eight years at Lambert Smith Hampton.

He was senior director of the investment team at Lambert Smith Hampton, before its closure.

Speaking about his appointment, Hamer commented: "I have known the team well for several years, we have many mutual clients and I believe this is an excellent opportunity to further develop the Investment side of the business. Although the market is tough, values appear to be stabilising and there is activity returning particularly for well secured income streams. I believe we are now well placed to take advantage of the market."
