Edward Symmons takes building consultant from Knight Frank

Edward Symmons has recruited Knight Frank's regional head of building consultancy, Gary Rafferty, as partner based in Manchester.

Before joining Knight Frank in 2002, Rafferty was principal surveyor at CB Richard Ellis, and before that building surveyor at Dixons Stores Group.

Rafferty said: "I am delighted to be joining Edward Symmons, which benefits from an employee base with wide-ranging and often multiple specialist qualifications, including LPA receivership. This allows the company to trade successfully even in this stage of the economic cycle. I look forward to bringing the experience I have built over more than a decade in the surveying industry to Edward Symmons' broad-ranging client base."

Edward Symmons' Manchester team is headed by Colin Jennings who commented: "Our building consultancy team already has considerable experience in development monitoring and project work particularly in the educational sector. Gary's wide-ranging experience will allow us to develop the practice particularly in the area of professional services and broaden our expertise in our ever expanding building surveying department."
