Edward Mellor auction raises £2.5m

More than £2.5m of property was sold at Edward Mellor and Roger Hannah's February auction.
There were 33 commercial lots and 54 residential lots listed in the catalogue for the sale at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Of these, 36 were sold prior or withdrawn.
Lots on offer included a three bedroom semi detached house on Dane Road, Denton, which sold for £137,000 off a guide price of £80,000.
Other properties sold on the day included a hairdressing salon and three bedroom flat on Audenshaw Road which sold for £20,000 above its guide price of £115,000, and a three bedroom semi on Hinckley Road, St Helens, guided at £75,000 but sold for £97,500.
