Edge leaves Pinsent Masons for Mills & Reeve

Mills & Reeve has hired two partners from fellow law firm Pinsent Masons, including its head of Manchester real estate Mike Edge.

Edge and Rachel Pitman will both join Mills & Reeve, which is based on New York Street, as partners in its real estate team, although a start date has yet to be confirmed.

Edge joins after seven years with Pinsent Masons, where he acted as head of the firm’s property team in Manchester.

Pitman also worked at Spinningfields-based Pinsent Masons for seven years as a partner in its property team.

Both Edge and Pitman formerly worked for law firm Halliwells, which entered administration in 2010. Edge was Halliwells’ national head of real estate before its collapse.
