Eden appoints director

Chris Garratt has joined the planning consultancy, bringing with him more than 18 years of experience.

A chartered town planner, Garratt specialises in environmental impact assessments and in managing planning applications. Past projects he has worked on include Countryside Properties and Persimmon Homes’ scheme for 841 homes in Maghull.

Becki Hinchcliffe, director of Eden Planning, highlighted how Garratt’s past work could help his new team.

“Chris’ experience of coordinating EIAs and his understanding of the planning complexities in delivering both residential and mixed-use projects will be invaluable for our clients,” she said.

“As a team, we’re passionate about creating places with a lasting legacy, and Chris shares our ambition to deliver spaces that will benefit future generations.”

Prior to joining the Altrincham-based Eden Planning, Garratt worked at White Peak Planning. He has also worked for NJL Consulting and Atkins.

Garratt expressed enthusiasm for his new role, saying “I’ve always admired Eden’s approach to planning, and I’m looking forward to embedding myself in the Eden culture and working with a great team.”
